Iconic Woman Of Style: Iris Apfel

Iris Apfel. One of the most recognized faces in the world of fashion today, she continues to inspire us with her self confidence and imagination. She brings a fun element of fantasy into a world where it is sometimes lacking. Born in Queens in the 1920's, Iris is a celebrated interior designer who over the years has worked at the White House for nine presidents: Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan and Clinton. Over the past few years her success has reached new heights with jewelry, makeup, handbag and shoe lines. Early next year, MAC will be debuting their newest collaboration, and it very well could be the best one....ever. Iris Apfel, the ninety year old fashion icon (and our personal favorite accessory maven) has lent her vision of bold colors and eclectic style to create a makeup collection that is as unique as Iris herself. Punchy colors that make bold statements are the staples here with shades like Party Parrot, which is a bold reddish/pink matte lipstick, and a bright pink eyeshadow called early bird. Iris is wearing the teal Robin's Egg eyeshadow, Scarlett Ibis lipstick and Oriele Orange nail polish. Available from January 5th to February 9th, get it while you can!
