28 In 28

While perusing the October issue of InStyle we came across this wonderful spread: 28 Days of Amazing Outfits! Basing a month of outfits on the idea of using twenty-eight key pieces you already have in your closet, they have broken it down in a simple and fun way and created looks we may have not thought to pair together. Touching on day to night, and work to play they have covered all of the bases. We love it InStyle!

The Gucci Collector

Have a piece or collection of vintage Gucci and ever pondered how much it might be worth? Well your in luck, Christie's is now offering the very first Gucci-certified online destination for appraising vintage double G products. Here's how it works: a team of experts including Christie's Specialists as well as Gucci's own in-house archivists will assess the item, and Christie's will provide an auction estimate for qualifying submissions. Select owners will have the opportunity to sell their items to Gucci, or in a future Christie's auction, if desired. Sounds like a pretty fab setup. Scour your closets, dust off those G's, you never know what something might be worth.

Last Days of Pastels

As the final days of summer are ticking by and you have fall must-haves on the brain (hello leopard + camel + gray + all things fur embellished), its hard to keep a fresh mind on your current everyday wardrobe. Before you store all your summer sorbet pastels (and yes, don't toss, chose to store as they will be making a strong re-appearance come resort time) here is a refresher to help re-inspire your current look for today.
To transition into fall now, add a belted pale gray cardigan, light leopard print scarf or must-have statement nude pump to any pastel ensemble. Or go with fall's au courant camel and pale gray now, and pair-up with a spring pastel statement accessory.

South Dixie Treasures

Check out Circa Who in the historic Northwood neighborhood for great finds that are both unique and classic

Since we here at House of Lavande deal in the best of vintage couture jewelry, we have a certain appreciation of this same realm in the world of interior design, furniture and sculpture. And lucky for us, there happens to be a mecca of this very concept right in our very own backyard. South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach is known for its antique galleries and boutiques where top interior designers and other fabulous talents (Michael Kors is a regular visitor), hunts for bijou treasures and grandiose statement pieces. If you've never hit this street full of vintage dealer's delights, it's a definite must next time your in the hood, or have a free weekend with fun time to spare. And we love how 1stdibs.com is currently featuring a round-up of their top antique and gallery picks, complete with restaurant recommendations. With all that seeing at shopping you'll be in the need for a lite bite and glass of champagne. Happy Antique Shopping.

Lanvin + Madison Ave

All of our NYC friends must be swooning over yesterday's opening of Lanvin's latest outpost, positioned perfectly right on Madison Avenue. We are lucky to have one ourselves located in nearby Bal Harbour, but just the thought of walking down a chic city street to the ultimate chic boutique has us giddy with excitement. In Alber's perfect fashion, the store space is equally as French cool as the clothes and accessories. A definite warm welcome to a city that has it all. And can we add, just in time to pick up Lanvin's ultimate leopard prints for prefall. Swoon.

Oh So Chic Camel

This fall, well... rather right now, we are loving camel. This classic neutral is making a major return this fall in wearable must-have separates, cool shifts and coats du jour. Whether your look is polished lady or downtown sleek, there will be plenty of ways to wear camel this season. This perfect shade looks great with any color pair-up, from pastel tones like a lavender hair streak or a vibrant pop of red. To polish the look off, add-on anything leopard and bold gold jewels. Oh so chic.
