Surfs Up

I think right about now we are all wishing for some sunny weather and warmer temps, and what better way to prepare us for summer then this chic surfs up story featured in Vogue Australia March edition. This spring many designers influenced by the sun, sand and surf showcased vibrant colors and print, and introduced new ways to wear sporty surf fabrics for everyday and evening looks. Designers Proenza Schouler even took it up a notch by color blocking the tips of their models locks during their runway presentation which clearly influenced this pictorial. If you can't surf quite yet, why not look chic by sitting on the sand dune sidelines.

Many Moods

I'm always intrigued on what inspires a designer's creativity and thought process for the concept and creation of a new collection. Whether it be a particular artist, film, fabric, exotic destination, muse, or something of the obscure, its always most inspiring to see where the creative mind begins and how the collection evolves into a masterpiece. This season, Vogue has provided us with a behind the scenes look of what motivates some of today's designers by showcasing their mood boards comprised of the various sources of influence that helped to create their fall 2010 collections.

Face Trends

The ready-to-wear prancing up and down the runways during NYFW aren't the only standouts making a fashionable trend setting impact this week. Hair & makeup looks can be of equal influence when it comes time to set your au courant choices for the seasons ahead. One of the easiest, quickest and most budget friendly ways to update any look, whether it be from season to season, or as simple as a daily mood change, it can simply be done through the right choice of a red lipstick or latest must-have nail lacquer. And like fashion, these beauty trends normally make their grand debut right on the runways. Courtesy of MAC Cosmetics professional makeup team, here are a few standout beauty looks that are sure to be trendsetters. Take notes.
