Mad Hatter's Tea Party

This Sunday the Flagler Museum is hosting a very exciting event that has us wishing we were between the ages of five to ten! The Mad Hatter's Tea Party will be a fun and interactive afternoon for kids, where they can dress up in their Alice in Wonderland's finest and enjoy activities like creating festive bonnets and top hats, have a fun lesson in table etiquette, and snack on tasty treats and tea!

The Whitehall steering committee who is hosting the event is reaching out to the younger generation of art, architecture, culture, and history enthusiasts of Palm Beach to preserve Whitehall, a Palm Beach fixture since Henry Flagler had it built for his wife in 1902.

A Flare For Peplums

The new must-have trend is turning out to be this season's big silhouette story: the peplum! With fashion's gaze firmly resting on the waist this season, there's no better way to dress your midriff than with a peplum. Chic peplums add a new dimension to any wardrobe and as seen at shows from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Jason Wu, Vera Wang and Thakoon, it comes in all shapes and sizes.

This adorable peplum top paired with shorts is a great look for daytime and nighttime.

We are loving this gorgeous feather embellished peplum dress!

This look at Paris Fashion Week is a great combination of color and we are loving the oversized peplum detail!

The ruffled detail on this skirt adds a different but fabulous spin on the traditional peplum style!

And we couldn't leave out a classic peplum shirt! Paired with a great pencil skirt and pumps for a gorgeous look.

Vintage Couture: Kenneth Jay Lane

One of our favorite things about vintage jewels is how pieces of yesterday can easily integrate into the styles of today. One of the most recognized names in the costume jewelry world is the one and only Kenneth Jay Lane. He has been designing masterpieces since the 1960's for some of the most influential people of our time. Jackie O, Elizabeth Taylor, the Duchess of Windsor, and Audrey Hepburn just to name a few. We have collected some of our favorite KJL moments from the past to the present, showing just how timeless a great piece of vintage jewelry can truly be.

Take it to the Max

We couldn't be more excited about the "The Maxi". The maxi, whether it be a dress or skirt, has been a constant trend for several seasons now and it shows no signs of slowing down. It is perfect for all seasons, lighter fabrics great for spring and summer while thicker fabrics keep you warm in the fall and winter. Not only are they easy and comfortable, there are several fabulous ways to style them. Paired with a classic t-shirt and some great jewels, the contrast is style perfection. Or if you are feeling a little more glamorous, throw on your heels and a great top or jacket.

Here are some of our favorite maxi looks from around the world:

Pastels: Soften Up Your Day

Runways this Spring were filled with frothy, cupcake colored shades and now everything from jeans to accessories to home décor has taken to the pastel trend and we love it! Pastels are a great way to soften up any look whether it is in your home, your outfit or even in your office. Not only do they soften up your look, but they also add a fresh pop of color to your wardrobe. Here are some photos we love that do a fabulous job at incorporating pastels into the look.
